ancient ruins and archaeological excavations are common sights in Greece : however, in contrast to this, one is aware of a melancholic decay that exists among the narrow­est alleyways and neglected facades : outmoded architectural styles and forgotten art forms mingle with urban graffiti and other modernities : is it evidence of an emerging art form, symbolic of a marriage of ancient architecture and a contemporary aesthetic ? : uban decay or urban revitalization ? :

artist bio

born and bred in toronto, alan joson discovered his passion and enthusiasm for photography somewhat late in life : while completing his portfolio for entry into the ontario college of art and design (ocad), he stumbled upon a talent to capture beauty in the most unlikely places : 

inspired by his travels around the world and his collaborations with many interesting people, this photographer has captured countless images that convey the transcendent nature of beauty :
